The ideal candidate will present a professional and positive image of the Club while promoting and managing all golf-related activities.




Overall Purpose: The main objective of this role is to offer Golf lessons to members, junior clinics and third parties to include guests at Club and also to provide operational support of the Golf course.




Events & Competition Management


  • Plan, promote and direct all golf activities- Oversee club tournaments and related events including day to day management of all aspects of Golfing that include Green-keeping, Golf instruction, Course rating and competitions.

Handicap Management:


  • Under the direction of the Golf Committee, implement and administer a system governing the start of play and the handicap system.

Golf Course Advisory:


  • Working with management, course committees and any other external consultants in developing coaching program, course rating and equipment selection for the club.
  • Cooperate with the Course Superintendent on maintenance issues that affect the playability of the golf course.

Relationship/Liaison Management:


  • Enthusiastically promote golf and golfing activities with a high level of service; play golf with members of all skill-levels to generate enthusiasm.
  • Be open in members’ suggestions, resolving issues as they arise, including presentation and possible solutions to management.

Club Financial & Compliance:


  • Overseeing the range operations and ensure maximization of revenue collection.
  • Administer, interpret and enforce all club rules and policies that govern the use of the course, golf carts, and other golf-related facilities.

Golf Office Administration:

  • Participate in the Golf and course Committee meeting and competition committees.
  • Organize course marshalling including monitoring pace of players.


Supervisory Role:

  • Organizing caddy training including assessing and inducting new caddies
  • Supervising and training caddy masters, range attendants and starters and any other golf professionals attached to the club.



  • Diploma in Management or related field, Degree is an added advantage.
  • MUST be a PGA Certified Professional or similar an active membership of PGA and/or PGA Kenya.
  • Five (5) years’ minimum experience in a similar role.
  • MUST be a member of Professional golfers association of Kenya and licensed by the Register of sports, as per the sports act 2013.
  • The position holder MUST be capable of running RNGC junior academy.
  • Knowledge of the World Golf Handicap system, golf rules and regulations.
  • Golf administration experience will be an added advantage.
  • Must have two years’ experience as an Assistant Golf Professional
  • Expertise in golfing rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of typical golf course procedures, golf course maintenance, finance, budgeting and golf Management systems.
