100th Edition of the Tannahill Shield Easter Golf Tournament – A Historic Milestone
The Royal Nairobi Golf Club (RNGC) hosted the highly anticipated 100th edition of the prestigious Tannahill Shield Easter Golf Tournament from April 18th to April 20th, 2025 (Main Team Competition). This centennial edition marked a historic milestone, celebrating a century of elite amateur golf and rich sporting tradition.
The tournament featured nine competing teams: Royal Nairobi Golf Club, Mombasa Golf Club, Muthaiga Golf Club, Western Kenya, Limuru Country Club, Vet Lab Sports Club, Kenya Railways Golf Club, Sigona Golf Club, and Windsor Golf & Country Club. The competition maintained its renowned format of three-way foursomes match play, ensuring intense and thrilling encounters throughout the weekend.

The Main Event – Tannahill Shield 2025
The 2025 Tannahill Shield witnessed fierce competition among Kenya’s top golf clubs, with each team demonstrating remarkable skill and resilience across four intense rounds.
Mombasa Golf Club was finally crowned champions, cementing their name on the history boards for the very first time in a hundred years of the tournament.
